Floyd Mayweather and Other Super Bowl Scandals

Rumors were fluttering around, as early as a week before the Super Bowl, that famous undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather had bet just over 10 million dollars on the Broncos.  As you all know, the Broncos were obliterated 43-8, in one of the largest Super Bowl defeats of all times.  Right as the game was about over, Floyd posted on his twitter and instagram account, denying the rumor that he had wagered an eight figure bet on the largest game of the year.
Mayweather finally came out and said the rumors weren’t true about him betting millions of dollars on the super bowl, in the last few minutes of the game.  Mayweather even denied wagering a single dollar on the game and later came to say that if he had placed a bet on the game, he would have bet on the Seahawks.  He claimed he would have bet for Seattle because they are the number one defensive team in the nation, and like himself in boxing, he is a great defender.  The famous boxer also said the most he ever had won from a single wager was 1.1-1.2 million dollars, however he also said the most he ever had lost was “probably about a million” dollars.  Mayweather also came to say that if he would bet $10 million dollars on anything, he would have bet it on himself.  Mayweather is 45-0 in boxing and will return to the ring May 3rd in Las Vegas.
There was even yet another scandal involving the Super Bowl last earlier this week.  Many fans and viewers of the super bowl claimed that the “Red Hot Chili Peppers” didn’t actually play live.  After a lot of buzzing on social media sites, the bands bassist, Flea, came to say that the rumors were in fact true.  He stated that because they only have s shortened period of time to set up the stages and audio cords,  they could sing live, however the bass, drums, and guitar was all pre-recorded.  They did this because there was so much room for error, that if one thing went wrong, there could be blaring loud noises that not just people at the super bowl would hear, everyone across the nation would also hear.
These statements make it questionable if perhaps last year’s Super Bowl’s guest singer, Beyonce, actually had things pre-recorded as well.  She was caught on inauguration day lip singing the star spangled banner, which also raises the question if she lip sung at the super bowl as well.
